By contrast, Chemin de Fer is a version of baccarat that allows both players to have a hand in making the choices which gives allowance for respective skill levels to play a role in the outcomes. Baccarat Banque holds the same conditions as Chemin de Fer. Both of these variations have their respective appeal because they allow players to show off their skill level when making playing choices. The basic baccarat game gives a value to all cards. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value. Joker, Queen and King cards and 10s are worth zero. And all aces are worth 1. Each player calculates their score by adding up the sum of all cards up to 10. Any digit about 10 is ignored. So if your cards 7 and 7 add up to 14, your score would be 4 because the 1 or 10 is dropped.

A game of baccarat is begun with both players being dealt 2 cards face down. If a player has less than 5 for cards drawn, another card is chosen. The game proceeds in this manner where the highest total wins the hand. In traditional casinos such as the ones in Las Vegas, baccarat is often played in a highly secured area because players are often times some of the highest rollers around, wagering hundreds and thousands on just one hand.
