Traditional baccarat is a casino card game that has been around since the late 14th century when it is believed to have gained its introduction to the world from Italy to France. For those who love a game of chance that is easy to play but addictively hard to stop playing, baccarat meets the requirements and lets you enjoy a fun filled card game with only three possible outcomes which are banker, tie and player. These terms are not to be confused with being representatives of the various players of the game but instead should be considered as the options that can be used to place your bet. The North American version of baccarat, known as Punto Banco, is strictly designed as a game of chance, which appeals to the masses because it does not require a particular skill level to play successful and win.

By contrast, Chemin de Fer is a version of baccarat that allows both players to have a hand in making the choices which gives allowance for respective skill levels to play a role in the outcomes. Baccarat Banque holds the same conditions as Chemin de Fer. Both of these variations have their respective appeal because they allow players to show off their skill level when making playing choices. The basic baccarat game gives a value to all cards. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value. Joker, Queen and King cards and 10s are worth zero. And all aces are worth 1. Each player calculates their score by adding up the sum of all cards up to 10. Any digit about 10 is ignored. So if your cards 7 and 7 add up to 14, your score would be 4 because the 1 or 10 is dropped.

A game of baccarat is begun with both players being dealt 2 cards face down. If a player has less than 5 for cards drawn, another card is chosen. The game proceeds in this manner where the highest total wins the hand. In traditional casinos such as the ones in Las Vegas, baccarat is often played in a highly secured area because players are often times some of the highest rollers around, wagering hundreds and thousands on just one hand.

Online baccarat can be more fun than traditional baccarat played at the casino tables because you never have to leave your home. Another major advantage of online baccarat is that you can get involved in a fast paced game that lets you make moves as fast as can be. This is because a part of traditional baccarat involves passing the board and this process is eliminated with online baccarat. Thinking about trying your hand at online baccarat? Now’s a great time or really anytime you’re ready because online baccarat is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And because you’re playing online, you’ll have the opportunity to show off your skill or play a game of chance with other players from around the world. Some great online casinos you can play baccarat at are Casino King, Totesport Casino, 888 Casino, Casino Tropez and Party Casino.
